My daughters learnt swimming and ballet here… My experience at Oak Marr Recreation Center was nothing short of exceptional, and I wholeheartedly give it a well-deserved five-star rating. UPDATE 11/2020: They started accepting more people, which led me to stop going. It's still 2 people per lane, and every lane was pretty much "full" whenever I went. Totally not a problem in a non-COVID world, so I may wait to go back for a while. This review is strictly based on my experience at the pool today, which is about a week after they opened back up after covid pandemic started. Hoping this answers some questions people may have during COVID. I didn't know until I got there, but you need to make a reservation before you go. They open for 90-minute blocks, and at the end of every block they clear out the pool and clean for 30 minutes. Fortunately the pool capacity wasn't full so they let me go in. There were 4 other people there, in their own lanes. Lockers are prohibited at this time so I changed real quick in the locker room and put my bag on a designated chair by the lane in the pool area. People who were not in the pool (including life guards) always wore a mask. I think they're doing a great job keeping everyone safe and enjoy the pool 👏

This is great gym that's very clean and offers everything anyone can want especially if you enjoy using the pool too for cross training. If you're a serious lifter, Oak Marr might not have all the equipment you will want but if you're creative you can get swole here. The pricing is competitive with any commercial gym and you get access to all the Fairfax County gyms so there's a lot of value.
